Welcome to The Piece Hall Learning Zone! This site is for the creative and curious to discover more about the history of The Piece Hall, Halifax. It was created in response to COVID-19 as a resource for families to explore a mixture of educational and creative content during school closures.

Our volunteers and artists have helped create art activities for adults and young people in the ‘Crafty Cupboard’. Investigate The Piece Hall history through interactive educational activities for children on cloth making and characters from the past. Get lost in the bright colours and symbolism of Alice Irwin’s People Play exhibition displayed since 28 February 2020 at The Piece Hall.

This site is a work in progress and will continue to grow and change over the upcoming weeks. Please do share any feedback or comments, we would love to hear from you.
